Thank you for participating in the democratic process!

Aldon and I set up this website so you all could share ideas about resolutions and work collaboratively. These resolutions are yours for the taking. Please submit your favorites at your precinct meeting!

Since democracy is NOT a spectator sport, we offer you five different actions to take here.

Think of it as extreme democracy!

1) You can READ many resolutions (and ideas that could become resolutions).

2) You can POST COMMENTS.
Tell the author and the world what you think of the resolution. If you have ideas on how to strengthen it, that's what we really want to see! The authors will check back and may incorporate your suggestions.

--> The goal here is to write these collaboratively.

For the next two actions, you need to create a login.

3) You can RATE THE RESOLUTIONS.
When you click on a resolution, you'll see "Moderate Post" just below the text, and a pull-down menu.

Great = 5
Good = 3
Fair = 1
Poor = -1

Right now there are LOTS of ideas here -- by rating them, you'll help draw other people's attention to the ones you think are strongest.

4) You can POST YOUR OWN RESOLUTIONS.
Go here to do that, after reading some general advice here.

Some counties have already begun their precinct meetings, so post your comments and ideas ASAP for others to see and use.

5) You can COME BACK FOR IMPROVEMENTS.
Authors may revise their resolutions, so check back frequently. Our hope is that multiple precincts and counties will pass the same version of any particular resolution. Trust me, consistent language will save a lot of hassle later when the resolution committees meet and consolidate the resolutions to present to the county convention.

So please comment now, and then come back just before YOUR precinct meeting to print out final versions of the ones you like.

Make sense?
